  • Ami Friedman, Ynet:
"A celebration... A band that sounds more alive and worthy then any other blues band you may hear... A well-oiled machine, that has been a winning unit for over a decade..."

  • Asher Kesher, Yediot Tel Aviv:
"A fun energetic new album... The way it`s sung in the American south"

  • Avishai Matia "City Mouse":
"The playing is excellent, the production superb. The vocal performances are full of pain and emotion. Pay particular attention to the impresive solo that ends "Bad Luck"

  • Barry Davis, Jerusalem post:
"Hammer sounds like the real McCoy when he gets on stage or into the studio with Sagi `CG` Shorer...there is a palpable sense of seamless synergy between them... `Live in Tel Aviv` offers Israeli Blues lovers a bit of homegrown naches"

  • Brian Thibault, Fan:
"Great Texas sounding Blues. Very nice selection of Blues songs. Made me think that this CD was made in Texas. Should do very well in the United States."

  • David Brinn, "The Jerusalem Post":
"Hammer`s vocals and Harmonica are consistently inspired... Shorer`s guitar solos light up each track... the band wails with the right combination of imagination and reverance for the Blues tradition"

  • Doc Mongoose, Fan:
"Country blues at its best... don`t get much better. A great heartland sound brings to mind Keb Moe and Taj Mahal. This cd is higher ground, some of the highest, come get high on it as I did. These guys are a couple of dirty bitchin daddies. Soooooooooooo very hooooooooottttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!! Get what they got!"

  • Gidi Aviv, "Ha`aretz":
"The Joyous and energetic performance of Hammer, Shorer and co. showcase original songs by the band as well as blues classics, from robert Johnson to BB King"

  • Hilik Gurfinkel, "Ha`ir":
"Blues like this can only be heared in Chicago"

  • Peter Krampert, Author of "The encyclopedia of the Harmonica":
"Dov Hammer is a master harmonica player... very authentic and exciting Blues... rivaling anything you`ll find here in Chicago"

  • Ron Gang, Fan:
Thank you Dov, CG, Nir and Oren for a great, and I mean really great evening - everything was just right. I don't know what it's like in Tel-Aviv, but here in this cosy little Beer-Sheva venue, with the bikers standing on the table, and the blues-singing waitress, the superb soundman (her husband!), the guy sitting next to CG who was digging the blues at great personal risk back in the 50's in communist Russia, and no doubt every fine soul in the audience is a universe in her/himself... with your great virtuoso blues, I mean I've never heard a tighter funkier, more soulful, joyous and funny, yes, funny, band than you guys. You gave of yourselves and caused great happiness which will reverberate through the universe, the positive vibrations will make everything better. THANK YOU !!!

  • Vicente Zumel, Radio PICA, Barcelona:
"A cool CD that will help you bear the summer heat... GOOD!"

  • Yehudit Vinegrad, Manager and Producer of Jacob`s Ladder Folk Festival.:
"Dov Hammer is an artist be seen and not just heard. Hammer sings and plays a harmonica with total body and soul. His love for the Blues is contagious, and his authentic performance immediately engages his audience in this passion. Seeing and hearing Dov Hammer perform is a moving and highly enjoyable experience"
